In my opinion it was an absolutely great idea to be realized. It allows you to see different countries with eyes of those, who live in them. It makes you being interested in something you haven’t even heard before. And you suddenly feel that the only thing you really miss is to see these amazing countries with your own eyes. What is it all about then? Well, our school was somehow pulled in the project which is handled by the ISAAC organisation. Some university students from abroad were chosen by the organisation and came to our school with a very precise intention. They should inform us how they really live. Of course our grammar school hasn’t been the only one the students have visited. The project has involved more Czech towns, for instance Kaplice or Třeboň. On Wednesday my English group visited two of all special lectures which are being hold this week. The Brazilian student named Fernanda provided us with lots of interesting and exciting information about her native country. We learnt we could put the Czech Republic in the Brazil 108 times. We admired the special dance, or let’s say it is a kind of really tough sport, called capoeira which consist of jumps and various body positions. We realised that poverty is a very current problem and that also Brazil has difficulties to handle it. The favelas (slums) looked like very dangerous place to live in. We realised that our educational system isn’t probably the worst in the world and that the amount of corruption (here) is also lower than it is in Brazil. Despite all of these facts, Brazil stays the country it’s always been. Sunny coasts, distinctive regions and famous parades in Rio. Fernanda also gave us a small gift. She gave us a narrow ribbon. We should have laced that ribbon around our wrists. Each of three nods should represent one wish. The writing on the ribbon says ”Lembrança do Senhor do Bonfim da Bahia” or  Souvenir from the God of Bahia.1) Unfortunately my wishes won’t come true. I lost that ribbon during the day and haven’t found it again. I should really stop losing things, especially gifts from Brazil. In conclusion I would like to say “Thanks“ to all the people who have taken a part in this interesting project. Was taken from http://bahiabands.com/history
